History:  Lope started BBS'ing with a 300 baud modem in the mid-eighties.  After running through various mutations of a single-line BBS, he launched a multi-line free BBS with MonkEspank.  Lope is primarily a coder who is happiest writing various applications to impress family and friends - with the notable exception of Ravenwood.  It takes a lot of persuasion to get Lope to try a new game, but when he does, he gives it everything.  If that entails special programs to enhance one's abilities, so be it.  As MonkEspank likes to say: "If you're not cheating, you're not really trying to win."
